At Ontime Conveyance, we want customers to have clear information about their rights and responsibilities when purchasing shipping containers and related products through our online store. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains our procedures for returns, cancellations, damaged or incorrect products, return transportation, inspections, and refunds.
This policy applies to eligible products purchased directly from Ontime Conveyance through our website.
This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Shipping Policy.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or replace any consumer or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
1. 30-Day Return Policy
Eligible products may be considered for return within 30 days of delivery.
The 30-day return period begins on the date the product is delivered to the customer or the customer’s designated delivery location.
To request a return, please contact Ontime Conveyance within this 30-day period.
Return requests submitted after the 30-day return period may not be eligible under this voluntary return policy, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
2. Products Covered by This Policy
This policy generally applies to eligible products sold through the Ontime Conveyance online store, including products such as:
- New shipping containers
- One-trip shipping containers
- Used shipping containers
- Standard shipping containers
- High Cube shipping containers
- Open-side containers
- Double-door containers
- Open-top containers
- Refrigerated or insulated containers
- Container storage units
- Container offices and workspaces
- Modified shipping containers
- Container conversions
- Container accessories
- Other container-related products offered in our store
The products available for purchase may change over time. Return eligibility depends on the product purchased, its condition, any customization, the circumstances of the request, and applicable law.
3. Return Eligibility
To request a standard return, contact Ontime Conveyance within 30 days of delivery.
The container or other product should generally be in substantially the same condition in which it was delivered, except for reasonable inspection.
Products should not have been materially altered, dismantled, damaged, or modified by the customer after delivery.
Before arranging transportation, customers must contact Ontime Conveyance and receive the applicable return instructions.
Because shipping containers and related products may require specialized transportation, the return process may differ from that for ordinary parcel-sized products.
4. How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, contact us using the details below:
Email: sales@ontimeconveyance.com
Phone: +1 656 216 5009
Please provide:
- Your full name
- Order number or other proof of purchase
- Product or container purchased
- Delivery address
- Date of delivery
- Reason for requesting the return
- Current condition of the product
- Photographs or videos where relevant
For damaged, defective, materially misdescribed, or incorrect products, photographs or other reasonable documentation may be requested to help us evaluate the issue.
We will review the request and provide the applicable return instructions.
Do not arrange or send a container back without first contacting Ontime Conveyance.
Shipping containers require specialized transportation, and unauthorized transportation may create additional costs or logistical problems.
5. Returning Shipping Containers
Because shipping containers are oversized and heavy products, their return process differs from ordinary parcel returns.
Depending on the product and location, suitable transportation may require a truck, tilt-bed trailer, flatbed, crane, side-loader, or other appropriate equipment.
After a return has been approved, Ontime Conveyance will provide the applicable return instructions, including the return location and relevant transportation arrangements.
Customers should ensure that the container remains accessible for collection where collection has been arranged.
The availability and method of return transportation depend on the product, its location, access conditions, and the arrangements available for that return.
6. Return Transportation Costs
For ordinary returns resulting from a change of mind or circumstances unrelated to an error by Ontime Conveyance, the customer is responsible for applicable return transportation costs unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed by Ontime Conveyance.
Because transportation costs vary according to container size, distance, location, access conditions, and equipment requirements, return transportation costs may vary from order to order.
Customers should contact Ontime Conveyance before arranging transportation to obtain the applicable return instructions and information about the expected transportation costs.
If a return results from Ontime Conveyance supplying an incorrect product or a product materially different from what was ordered, we will review the circumstances and communicate the appropriate return or other resolution arrangements in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
7. Used Shipping Containers
Customers purchasing used shipping containers should understand that used containers may display signs of previous commercial use.
Depending on the product, these may include:
- Scratches
- Dents
- Surface rust
- Paint fading
- Previous shipping markings
- Welds or patches
- Floor wear
- Cosmetic imperfections
- Minor variations in appearance
These characteristics do not automatically mean that a used container is defective or damaged.
The condition description and photographs provided in the product listing should be considered when evaluating a return request.
If a used container is materially different from the condition represented at the time of sale, please contact Ontime Conveyance promptly.
The treatment of any reported issue will depend on the product listing, the circumstances, and applicable law.
8. Modified and Customized Shipping Containers
Ontime Conveyance offers shipping containers in different configurations, including containers that have already been modified and containers that may require additional modifications based on a customer’s specific requirements.
A container that is already modified and offered for sale in its listed configuration is not automatically excluded from the standard return policy solely because it has been modified.
Where a customer requests specific modifications or a custom configuration, the applicable scope of work, specifications, price, and any relevant return restrictions should be confirmed before the customer confirms the order and the modification work begins.
Customer-specific modifications may affect return eligibility where permitted by applicable law, particularly where the product has been prepared or substantially modified to the customer’s approved specifications.
Customers should carefully review and confirm relevant dimensions, drawings, layouts, colours, door arrangements, equipment, and other requested features before approving custom modification work.
Any applicable return restrictions for customer-specific modifications will be communicated before the customer confirms the order. These restrictions do not remove any rights or remedies available under applicable law where a product is defective, damaged, materially misdescribed, supplied incorrectly, or does not conform to the agreed specifications.
9. Damaged Products
Customers should inspect their container or other product as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If you believe the product suffered significant damage during transportation, contact Ontime Conveyance promptly.
Please provide photographs or other relevant evidence showing, where applicable:
- The entire container or product
- The damaged area
- The interior, where relevant
- Doors and locking mechanisms, where relevant
- Any visible transportation damage
We will review the information and determine the appropriate next steps based on the circumstances and applicable law.
Depending on the issue, the resolution may involve a return, refund, or another remedy available under applicable law.
Please retain relevant photographs and order information to help us review the matter.
10. Incorrect Products
If you receive a container or other product materially different from what you ordered, contact Ontime Conveyance as soon as possible.
Examples may include receiving the wrong:
- Container size
- Container type
- Configuration
- Modification
- Door arrangement
- Product quantity
We will review the order and delivery information and communicate the appropriate next steps in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
Please provide your order number and supporting photographs or documentation where relevant.
11. Situations That May Limit Standard Returns
Subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the order, a standard return request may be refused or limited where:
- The return request is submitted more than 30 days after delivery.
- The customer has materially modified, dismantled, or altered the product after delivery.
- The product has been damaged through misuse, negligence, accident, or improper handling after delivery.
- The customer requests the return of a product that was substantially customized to their approved specifications, and the request does not involve a defect, error, material misdescription, or another circumstance requiring a remedy under applicable law.
- The customer cannot reasonably establish that the product was purchased from Ontime Conveyance.
- The product has been altered in a way that prevents it from being returned in substantially the condition in which it was delivered, except for reasonable inspection.
A product is not automatically excluded from returns simply because it appears in the Modified Containers category or was already offered for sale in a modified configuration.
Any restrictions applicable to customer-specific modifications will be communicated before the customer confirms the order, subject to applicable law.
These considerations apply to the voluntary return policy and do not override any non-waivable consumer rights or remedies available under applicable law.
12. Return Inspection
Returned products may be inspected after they are received or collected.
The inspection may consider:
- Product identity
- Overall condition
- Whether modifications have been made after delivery
- Whether reported damage or discrepancies are present
- Whether the product qualifies for the requested remedy
We will notify the customer of the outcome of the return review.
Any decision regarding eligibility or the refundable amount will be made in accordance with this policy, the applicable order terms, and applicable law.
13. Refund Processing
When a return is approved for a refund, the refund will generally be processed within 10 business days after the returned product has been received and the return has been reviewed and approved.
Refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase unless another method is agreed upon or required by applicable law.
After Ontime Conveyance processes a refund, banks, card issuers, and payment providers may require additional time to post the funds to the customer’s account.
Processing times imposed by a financial institution are outside our control.
Where applicable law requires a different refund timeframe, the legal requirement will apply.
14. Refund Amount
For an approved return, the refundable amount will depend on the circumstances of the return and applicable law.
For ordinary change-of-mind returns, return transportation costs are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed or required by applicable law. Such costs are generally not included in the product refund.
Where an adjustment is applicable because of the condition of the returned product, customer-caused damage, material alteration, or another authorized charge, we will inform the customer of the applicable adjustment.
Ontime Conveyance will not apply a return-related deduction without an applicable basis under the agreed terms or applicable law.
Where a product is incorrect, materially misdescribed, or otherwise subject to a mandatory legal remedy, the applicable refund or other remedy will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
15. Original Delivery Charges
Whether original delivery charges are refundable may depend on the reason for the return, the order terms, and applicable law.
For ordinary change-of-mind returns, original delivery charges may be non-refundable where permitted by law.
Where a return results from an incorrect product, material misdescription, or another circumstance requiring a remedy, applicable delivery charges will be addressed as part of the resolution in accordance with applicable law.
16. Exchanges and Replacements
Customers may contact Ontime Conveyance to ask whether an exchange or replacement is available instead of a refund.
Availability depends on the product, container type, size, condition, specifications, supplier availability, and delivery location.
If an exchange or replacement is available, any difference in price and applicable delivery arrangements will be communicated before the arrangement is finalized.
Nothing in this section limits remedies available to customers under applicable law.
17. Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, contact Ontime Conveyance as soon as possible.
We will review the current order status and inform you whether cancellation is possible.
An order that has not yet entered preparation, modification, or dispatch may be easier to cancel.
If transportation has already been scheduled, the product has been dispatched, or custom modification work has begun, cancellation may be subject to applicable terms or reasonable costs where permitted by law.
Customized orders may not be eligible for ordinary cancellation once substantial custom work has commenced, except where otherwise required by law.
If an order is successfully cancelled after payment has been received, any applicable refund will be handled in accordance with the applicable order terms and law.
18. Refused Deliveries
Customers should contact Ontime Conveyance before refusing delivery of a container unless there is an immediate safety concern.
Refusing delivery without contacting us may result in additional transportation, storage, redelivery, or return costs where permitted by law and applicable to the circumstances.
If a container or other product appears to be incorrect or significantly damaged upon arrival, document the issue and contact us promptly.
A refused delivery does not automatically qualify for a refund. The circumstances will be reviewed under this policy and applicable law.
19. Failed Delivery and Site Access
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and communicating relevant site-access restrictions before delivery.
Depending on the product and transportation method, delivery may require suitable road access, clearance, ground conditions, unloading space, and access for the necessary equipment.
If delivery cannot be completed because of undisclosed site restrictions, inaccessible roads, unsuitable ground conditions, locked access, or the absence of a required recipient, additional delivery or transportation costs may apply where permitted by law and properly communicated under the applicable order terms.
A failed delivery does not automatically constitute a product return.
Customers should contact Ontime Conveyance to discuss the available next steps.
20. Refunds for Orders Not Yet Shipped
If an eligible order is cancelled before dispatch and a refund is approved, the refund will generally be processed within 10 business days after the cancellation and refund have been reviewed and approved, unless applicable law requires a different timeframe.
Orders involving custom modifications may be subject to different cancellation terms if work has already begun, where permitted by law.
Any applicable cancellation costs or deductions will be communicated to the customer and must have a valid basis under the applicable terms or law.
21. Missing Refunds
If we have confirmed that a refund has been processed but you have not received it, first check with your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
Financial institutions may require additional time to post completed refunds.
If the expected processing period has passed and your payment provider cannot locate the refund, contact Ontime Conveyance so that we can review the transaction.
Please include your order number and any available refund confirmation details.
22. Fraudulent or Abusive Returns
Ontime Conveyance may review return requests involving suspected fraud, intentional product damage, materially false information, unauthorized alterations, or abuse of the return process.
Where permitted by law, a return request may be declined if the circumstances establish that it does not qualify under the applicable return terms.
This provision does not affect legitimate consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
23. Legal Rights
This Returns & Refunds Policy explains Ontime Conveyance’s standard return procedures. It does not exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
Where applicable law provides the customer with greater rights than this policy, the applicable legal requirements will control.
Where applicable law requires Ontime Conveyance to bear return transportation costs, provide a refund, or offer another remedy in particular circumstances, those requirements will apply.
